ok, here we go... approximately 3 months ago my ears werent pierced at all. this kinda irritated me, considering ive wanted my ears gauged for a long time. i have had them pierced before, even gauged to the size of a straw, but i had to ditch them because i enrolled in the mcjrotc. anyways, after a year of having my ears bare, i was getting really sick and tired of them being so.
after thinking hard and bieng diplomatic about my choice, i decided i was going to re-gauge my ears. i called my then girlfriend j-me (who herself had been working on a 0g lobe), and asked her to kindly give up any spare jewelry she had. just as i asked, i recieved, because a few days later i found in the mail a bottle of piercing equipment.
like a giddy schoolgirl, i was anxious to begin my journey. the first time that i had gauged my ears, i went about it in an unsafe and painful way; using anything i could find as jewelry.this time i wasnt about to even think of doing this... i was going to be 'professional'. the sunday following my recieved shipment of multi-sized hoops barbells and plugs, i found myself bored of being 'naked'. i took a sewing needle 9which i belive to be a 12g) marked my ears as to make sure i wouldnt have cockeyed holes. then i breathed deep and shoved the needle through my lobes. the smallest jewelry i had gotten was one 12g hoop, which kinda sucked, considering both holes were 12g. i put the hoop in one ear, and grabbed the next smallest piece, which was a 10g barbell. now, a 12g and a 10g size incriment may not seem big at all, but when you have to shove a big gauge into a fresh smaller gauged hole, you definately change your mindset. after piercing my ears, i did the only natural thing that came to mind... i went to church.
after about a week i was getting tired of my ears looking more like pirate earrings than ultra cool gaugings, so i decided to drop the gauge numbers. in the ear i had the 10g, i replaced with a 6g. the 12g was replaced with the 10g.this was a little bit more painful to achieve than i thought, but hey, it was for a good cause... i left my ears to heal for about 2 weeks, and then i moved on up.
after almost a month of having jewelry in my ears that were heavy, i wanted something a little bit more forgetable. i found my answer in my school's drinking straws. they were plentiful, clear, and really light. i found out that dropping both of my ears to the same size was a chore, but more than that, i couldn't force the straws through like i could with the steel bits. i used a pair of nose trimmers (sterilized) as a form of stretchers, and then i cut 2 straws down so that they had points. let me tell you...this is no way to go about things. i think that pain was worse than any other ive felt ever.
i let my ears heal for around a month, partly because i knew i was doing it too fast, partly cause i was scared i may split my lobes. after this month period, i was ready for more. after a few quick adjustments and a few sissy screams, i upgraded to slurpee straws.i was more happy with the Slurpee straws, becausethey also were a pentiful source, light, and they came in many cool colors.i had fun with them for a while, as i let my wounds heal up a bit.
these straws were my biggest size ever, and i didnt know what to expect if i went any bigger,or did i know where to find bigger jewelry. i figured the only place id find cool cheap jewelry would be ebay, so to the net i went. i was right, because ebay had a lot of auctions dealing with gauging jewelry and equipment. i took a leap of faith, and but in 2 bids on 2 sets of sweet plugs. the only hard part of the ordeal was waiting for my new plugs to arrive... as to how i found out about BMEzine. i was surfing the net looking for places with cheap jewelry, and pictures, when i found the site under a search engines results. i went to the site, and found out that my ears were small compared to many others', let alone the fact my ears were so plain after seeing pictures of things like daiths and conches. you could say BMEzine has inspired me to continue in size as well as variety.
when my plugs arrived i was a bit saddened to find out that 00g misnt much bigger than what i was at. since i had actually paid for these things, i decided to stay there for a good while, as to why im still at 00g. i figure i should give them a great deal of time to recooperate befor i go to 1/2 in. or bigger...
perhaps my methods are a bit too hasty, and dangerous, but i must say this... atfer reviewing BM as much as i could, ive seen and read reasons and ways to properly go about gaugings. i dont recommend anyone follows my example because it is way too risky. the only reason i didnt have my lobes professionally done was my lack of fundage...
i burned the world
for it was trash,
it gave me no love
so i torched its ass
